Builders Of The Adytum Lessons Series Of Changes
Although the Order itself today, after a series of changes in leadership, is going to sleep, its American branches being little more than a publishing house and the temple work barely operating. PFC did not feel a need for advancement to grades higher than 5=6. One does not have to attend a physical temple in order to complete the Great Work by correspondence, if one actually adheres to the instructions and practices the work in daily life, though it is suggested that each course examination be completed and submitted to the temple for review and comment, plus certificate of completion.Grades: BOTA provides organized and graded advancement, ritual and magic through their Pronaos and secret group work. Lessons which include practices (meditation, sound and color, concentration, gematria, constructions, etc.) may take longer to complete. If one were to only complete the courses by PFC, this would take approximately 6+ years. The current set of distributed lessons by PFC and AD takes 14-15 years to complete.

It’s highest teaching is called the Arcana Arcanorum, normally reserved for the top 4 grades to the 99 th degree. It is in every way: esoteric masonry. Martinism is strongly tied to the M.M as many consider the M.M a masonic branch teaching the same ideas.
The A.A is considered the highest of all western mysteries.Orientation: Masonic, Rosicrucian, Gnostic, Templar, Alchemical.Grades: 80 grades for Misraim, 90 grades for Memphis, 99 grades for Memphis Misraim.Connections to Other Orders: Martinism, the Memphis Misraim grants a Gnostic Bishop consecration at its 66 th degree, and is therefore tied to various French Gnostic churches. Most claim that the A.A comes from Cagliostro however such is not the case. The original A.A grades of Misraim had no occult aspect to them. The practice of the A.A versions are normally a sexual internal alchemy derived from Kremmerz. Mallinger’s Belgium A.A has both internal alchemy and summons the 7 Olympic planetary spirts (as gods). There are many variations to the A.A.
The Golden Dawn gets its pentagram ritual from the A.A of the M.M amongst other things. The layer Crowley OTO added Thelema but there are still branches of pre-thelemic OTO active which are brilliant. The Ordo Templi Orientis of Karl Kellner was a 9 degree version of the M.M. The Order of Myriam from Italy and the Osiris Order of Kremmerz is tied in, seeing that some M.M branches use the Kremmerz Arcana Arcanorum.
